I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Onegai My Melody: Welcome Home

A follow up on the art "Seven Years Pass". Hiiragi and Kuromi are older now, and they both have different careers in music. But they both still find the time to see each other, especially when it's their anniversary.

Kuromi has a ring on her left hand... and I'm sure everyone knows that that means.

CrossOver: The Matrix

This is actually one of my older illustrations that I never got to publish online. The Matrix is one of my personal favorite movies of all time... probably because it was inspired by Ghost in the Shell.

I think A.illusions is very similar to The Matrix is some ways... Ah, but just saying that might anger some Matrix fans. Sorry, sorry!

karma introduction sketch

An Introduction to Karma

karma before and after"Karma" is a one shot comic that was rendered by means of traditional art tools; namely pencils, watercolors, and inks. This was the first comic that I've ever created, and it was meant to be an entry in Culture Crash's "Call for Indies" way back in April 2003.

Five years later, I've decided that I should publish this online instead of leaving it to collect dust in the corner of my room.

Most of the comic remains unchanged. The entire script was translated to English from the original hand-written Filipino text. Also, the last page was edited to show a darker "night scene" from the original rendering.

Karma's characters were based on my original piece "Guardians of Celestia" (which was renamed to "Vanguards of Heaven" for my final thesis back in college). I've been debating with myself constantly whether or not I should continue this series, but for now, it will remain as a one shot comic.

Thank you for taking the time to read Karma! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did drawing this. Please show your support by voting below!

Onegai My Melody: Seven Years Pass

If Kuromi were to end up with Hiiragi in the end, I'd imagine she would find a way to change into a human, sacrificing her powers to stay with him forever.

This is what I think she would look like. She and Jun would have started a band together, naming it "Hiiromi". She would be the singer and Jun would be lead guitar.

CrossOver: Sleepy

When the opportunity came to cross worlds in the City, Kuromi crossed over to the world of Loveless and became the fighter of Rozen. It's a bit confusing to me why she is the fighter and Hiiragi is the sacrifice though.

Her "true name" is on her ankle. It's a bit hard to see in this resolution though.

Onegai My Melody: Memories

"It feels like I've known you from somewhere once before."

"Who knows? Maybe it's true... Maybe I was that someone you met once long before... in a dream you've already forgotten.

"Once upon a dream."

Onegai My Melody: Black Beauty

What is in a name?

I don't know how the official writing of Kuromi's name is in Japanese, but if "Kuro" is 黑 and "Mi" is 美, it would be "Black Beauty". If she had to have a tattoo symbolizing her name, I would think of it as black rose. But of course, my explanation is not the official one.

CrossOver: Cat Ears

This is what happens when Kuromi goes into the world of Loveless:

"But what do the cat ears and tail mean..?"

" means you’re a good girl."

CrossOver: Without Trust

Hiiragi does not trust Soubi, and Soubi is amused that he is so angry with him. It's a good thing they don't bump into each other very often.

I love how they have almost the same coat in different colors... It's somewhat symbolic as to how Kuromi likes the two of them in different ways. ^_^;;;

CrossOver: Here With You

There was a time when everyone began to leave Soubi one by one. He was afraid that he was destined to be alone, as the event reminded him that he was a blank fighter and that he was also left by his previous master. Kuromi assured him, just as he assured her, that she would never leave him as long as she is able to.

CrossOver: I Miss You

When Hiiragi first entered the City of Polychromatic, he met Oda Oichi and fell in love. His desires almost took him over despite knowing she was already married because of the Deities. Thankfully, Oichi was able to stop him before he could even kiss her, but he could not deny that he really does care deeply for her.

CrossOver: Kurumi's Patronus

When Kuromi was thrown into the world of Harry Potter, she was frustrated that Harry hated her and thought she was evil simply for being part of the Slytherin House. In order to prove to herself that she was not evil, she decided to try and call out her Patronus, with much success. Too bad she got caught using magic in the halls of Hogwarts.

Her patronus is half-human, half animal, since she herself is one too. It looks vaguely familiar, don't you think?

CrossOver: You Are Like a Father to Me

When Hiiragi was trapped in Mirror City, Kuromi gave up her sense of touch in order to be granted entrance. Clow Reed was worried and decided to watch over her, giving up his sight. They entered the Mirror City together and was able to get out soon after.

This is what happened in the aftermath. They shared relief that they were both spared and regained their senses when Mirror City disappeared.

CrossOver: Lying Obedience

There was a time in Kuromi's City Life that she was cursed into tasting like chocolate covered strawberry ice cream. This happened when she was talking to Soubi late into the night, and when she noticed she tasted sweet, Soubi gave her a kiss to determine her "flavor".

Soubi then convinced her to taste him as well. She didn't want to at first, because she knew Hiiragi would get upset. She was surprised, however, that Soubi tasted like pudding.

CrossOver: POLYchromatic

This is the cover for the doujinshi "POLYchromatic". The planned story was the Titanic Curse, but as I mentioned earlier, the project is on hold for now. Hopefully, I'll get the chance to work on this multi-fandom doujin again!

CrossOver: Onegai Loveless

"You won't leave me too, would you?"

Soubi held her close and answered her like it was that most serious thing in the world...
"Of course not."

CrossOver: Cross Academy Sunrise

After a rainy day in the City of Polychromatic, Kuromi decided to go out and explore the City by jumping on the rooftops and electrical poles to watch the sun rise. It was a horrible time for her as it was only days after she was left all alone in the City... but the new day gave her renewed hope.

I was fascinated by the design of Cross Academy's uniforms, so I let Kurumi wear the day class'. I think it suits her pretty well.

Doujinshi Gallery: The Titanic Curse

This is the first finished page I've ever done for a doujinshi. The idea came from a role play community, with which I asked permission from everyone involved to use the script for a fan comic. Sadly, I've only finished getting the script together. The comic itself is on the back burner, but hopefully, I will have time to finish it in the future.
