Art Trade: Syn
More art trades coming up... I'm almost done with Crystal Shadows but my motivation is no where to be found! Sketching relieves some of the pressure, so I drew Syn for YumYum...
Dear goodness gracious, his smirk is killing me, I swear... Also... those ears... hngh...

Art Trade with yuukihanabusa
It would appear that my coffee was not decaffeinated last night. (¬▂¬) I’ve barely slept, and since I can’t seem to fall asleep at all, I’ve decided to finish this art trade of Yuuki’s character, Alex Fiore. (*´・v・)
Still used the same watercolor texture as before. (´-ω-`) That neko wasn’t really supposed to be there, but I wanted Alex to wake up to something adorable. ☆ミ(o*・ω・)ノ It would have been boring otherwise if it was just a bishie in bed… right?
Kitty was from this photo, I just changed the colar into a bow. ~(^з^)-☆

Art Trade with petmeow
Continuing with my art trade meme, petmeow wanted a sketch of her original character, “Akai”. (* >ω<) She is a feline youkai and a technical assistant for Youko Kurama. Although one is considerably protective of the other, their relationship can neither be described as business nor romantic.
Although I definitely ship Maya with Shuichi as they are a canon couple, Akai seems like a nice girl. So I gave her a Youko plushie to go with her portrait.(⌒▽⌒ゞ Oh, and if you think her clothes look familiar, that’s probably because that’s Mist’s female uniform. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ
I miss drawing Mist, but ah, those are the breaks. Hope you guys like it! o(≧∇≦o)

Art Trade with ItsyBitsyshutterbug
I decided to try and be more active in the Deviant Art community this year, and what better way to do it than to participate in an art trade meme? ヾ(*´∇`)ノ
This is inspired from ItsyBitsyshutterbug’s portrait shot “Halo”~! ヾ(・ω・*)ノ I may have gone a little bit overboard on this and gave her a kimono instead of her stripped t-shirt, but hey! A direct copy would have been too boring, right?
I hope she likes it! Now on to the next trade! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ

Nekomimi Rika
I wanted to try another way of coloring black hair, and Japanise Sakuras’ character, Rika, seemed like the a good candidate to try it on.
Remember xxxHolic? How Yuuko’s hair is always a flat black while the rest of the illustration is a nice wash of watercolor?
I tried to do that here, but in the end, I caved and added little highlights here and there. I don’t know how CLAMP can make it so flawlessly epic. Σ(-`Д´-ノ;)ノ
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this piece too! (*ノ・ω・) Now to get some work done! ヾ(゚∀゚ゞ)

Yuuki’s Sakura
I don’t know what it is about these art trades, but this is a record breaking 4th attempt in drawing Yuuki Hanabusa’s original character, “Sakura”! She finally came out the way I wanted her to! But argh… the mere fact that it took me forever and a day to finish it is really upsetting to me! щ(ಥДಥщ)
Now I can work on these pending commissions and stop nitpicking this piece! I hope you like this Yuuki-chan! ( (ミ´ω`ミ))

Belated Happy Hearts!
Late for the party! In more ways than one too! ;~;
This is my second attempt in drawing EL. I was thinking about posting the first one, which is already about 50% done, but when I compared it to this one, I cringed! @o@;;; Has my art style changed that much in less than a few months? Brr… Maybe drawing all those Uta Princes wasn’t so bad after all.
For Miss Evengeline Louise, who is now my featured “cupid” of 2012! Hope everyone enjoyed their day of hearts~ ♥

Skullie
What started out as a sketch on my planner turned out into an ink and color pencil endeavor that ate my entire day.
This was Skullie around 7pm yesterday. She’s one of seven art trades I’ll be working on this year. I remember praying before I actually started coloring her with color pencils because it’s been a while since I last colored using any traditional media.
I seem to have fallen in love with coloring all over again.
Sad thing is, the scanner doesn’t pick up colors as well as it should. I adjusted the scan using Sugar‘s tutorial, but I still think the original is much better.
Strangely, the scanned image looks… *squished*? It’s probably my monitor or something, but please tell me what you think when you view the original illustration.
