This piece has been sitting on my PC since March 2020. I really live how this came out, and now I keep wondering why I stopped drawing this series.

Thank you Bokimkatje Komiks for the template! I'm sorry, I couldn't fit all my komiks into it, so I had to adjust... I did not know I had made so many comic pages already!

And to answer your question, yes I realize there is a dA watermark in my Twilight's Calling page, but I dunno where my files are... and it is originally colored, but aesthetics. ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

Crystal Shadows by Power-J

Mastur Power-J has graced me with his artwork!! Aaahh... this is so beautiful! I really love the colors on this piece, it's so vibrant! Most importantly, my babies look so happy!!

Could this be a sign that I should get back to drawing Crystal Shadows again? I haven't felt like drawing sequential art in a long time... Perhaps it's about time to get off my lazy behind and just do it.

Mix OC with Bokimkatje Komiks

Gonna post this now so I can focus on my commissions later~ This is the last one for now and she is the prettiest one!

In hindsight, I should have used a better photo of Dylan, but for those who are unfamiliar, Dylan has sky blue eyes. (^^*) So their daughter has her daddy's eyes and his wavy hair, but she does have her mom's hair color! I wanted to give her hydrangeas for some reason too... Maybe it's her favorite flower?

...and I have been thinking about this since yesterday, but doesn't she look like someone? A CLAMP character, maybe?

2019 Art Summary

I didn't think I'd have enough for 2019, but I always surprise myself whenever I make my art summaries. ( ◜‿◝ )♡

2019 was the year of UtaPri and Crystal Shadows~ I need to get back on updating my webtoon, but I also need time to heal... Will talk more about that next time, but for now, I will be rearranging my schedule so that I can have more time to do the things that I want to do instead of doing only the things I need to do.

Also hoping to do more commissions this year~ I'll just finish up all the pending pieces that I have and then start taking new orders again~ (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧ Here's to the year 2020!!

Crystal Shadows - Episode 5: I'm Sorry...

Episode 5: I'm Sorry... is now available on LINE Webtoon! I really like how this turned out... I wanted to show more of Dylan's feelings through the art more than written words, and I think it worked out pretty well!

I'm trying to relearn how I was able to draw so many colored panels in such a short amount of time before... and I gotta tell you, it's not easy at all..! Even relearning how to draw Dylan's hair is a little challenging at this point! Maybe I'm way out of practice...

Indie Komiks Manila, a Facebook group I'm a member of, has decided to make "campaign posters" over the next few weeks. I wanted to participate in that campaign while I prepare for Crystal Shadows' new chapters, and I think this turned out pretty well~ (๑>ᴗ<๑)

Kurohiko's ART SUMMARY 2018

2018 will forever be known to me as the year of webtoons. I had to end my first popular webtoon with Enjelia earlier that year so that she could focus on her project... later, I launched Crystal Shadows as a webtoon, and then entered Apteral into the webtoon contest!

I pretty much failed more than I succeeded, but... Overall, it has been an amazing and wonderful ride. I have learned much more in the past year than compared to any of my other years as a manga artist. I don't know what 2019 will bring, but I do know that I want to keep trying for as long as I can.

My friends are currently doing the "Draw Your Friends' OC in Your Own Style" challenge, and I manage to score two very lovely fan arts of Erin from Crystal Shadows~

She looks so different, yet very similar~ I love these so much, thanks Jayron and Cholo! You can see the rest of Jayron's meme here and Cholo's meme here.

And a bit of a trivia for you all, Erin can actually sing pretty well in the original script. I'm not sure if I'm going to add that bit of information in the rebooted webtoon, but wait and see? (^^*)

Crystal Shadows - Episode 4: I Know...

New Episode: "I Know..." is up! Hooray for making it before June ends! But now I'm wondering if I should delete and re-upload everything for the contest!

Hm... For now, I don't think Crystal Shadows will meet the criteria as it is... Would it be better to start from scratch? There's not a lot of time left though, so I'll have to decide quickly...

Decisions, decisions... I think I'd rather sleep! (´;ω;`)

Crystal Shadows - Episode 3: Honey?!

Managed to finish an update for this month! Things have been ridiculously hectic at home, you have no idea... but I digress! I have come to share some easter eggs!

Do the artworks on the PC screens look familiar? The one on Sandy's screen is my fan art of Otoya that I drew in celebration of UtaPri's 4th Year Anniversary! I was pretty happy to be featured in the official website~ but wow, this was way back in 2014!

The one on the laptop might be a little difficult to see, but that's actually my fan art of Kirito in 2013! Time flies by so fast... I didn't think that that illustration was already 5 years old!

In any case, this episode means I'm all caught up with the original manga! The next episode will be a new chapter for all readers, old and new alike! I'm pretty nervous now, since the art style has changed so much, but I will continue to do my best!

Crystal Shadows REBOOT

Hello~! A lot of exciting things have been happening lately... aside from the current renovations currently ongoing in kurohiko.com, I have an announcement to make!

Crystal Shadows is getting a webtoon makeover! I've been thinking long and hard about continuing this series for a while now, and Enjelia introduced me to the world of webtoons. I have to admit, it's not easy to think of color combinations, but at the same time, it's a lot of fun seeing how much my art style has changed over the years...

The 5 year difference is astonishing, to say the least!

Anyway, I hope you guys will continue to support Crystal Shadows on webtoon! Subscribe, comment, and give me a heart or two~ I'd love to hear what you guys think!

Crystal Shadows: Sakura

This was supposed to be a warm-up sketch but it somehow ended up finished. (o – o。*)?

The background is actually Miss Harlow's photo which I edited to look like a painted background from an anime. I had been wanting to make an "instagram" series where, instead of me taking selfies and the like, I'd have my characters do it for me!

I guess you could call this a stolen/paparazzi shot? Jeremy was supposed to be taking a quiet stroll under the cherry blossoms, but I somehow ended up with this emotional scene. (*・∧・*)? I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but he seems a bit sad about it.

Maybe I'm also feeling sad about something... Mm...

Fan Art? Or Self-Portrait? Or Both?!

I apologize for not updating in a while… I’m currently working on a new manga that’s super top secret! Ok, no, not really super top secret, but I can’t tell you guys about it yet! I will soon though, so stay tuned for updates!

For now, I wanted to show you guys this! It’s a fan art for Jackie’s one-shot manga based on the members of Studio 4 Eyes. He basically forced us to draw ourselves for his own benefit, LOL! But anyway… You can see this in “Kisapmata”, which went on sale last Indieket!

Speaking of Indieket though, it was too bad we couldn’t finish volume 4 of Studio 4 Eyes in time. But I’m hoping we can make it for Winter Komikon this year. I miss drawing Erin and the gang… And I’ll probably draw them differently now too!
