N-now… How am I supposed to concentrate?! WAH! ♥（ﾉ´∀`）
Recently, I’ve been studying how people draw and color eyes since I’ve received a comment saying the way I draw mine lack life. (*￣m￣)
So here are two options: #1 has a gradient shading in the white part of the eye, while #2 is more solid and defined. I know it doesn’t look very different, but I still can’t decide among the two. (◎_◎;)

Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I go back to basics and doodle something in traditional form. You just can’t beat the feel of an actual paper-and-pencil sketch! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ It relaxes me and reminds me why I choose this line of work from all else.
Harukanaru Toki no Naka de – Yasuaki, Minamoto no Yorihisa, and Shikigami
I had references from the manga in drawing Yasuaki and his Shikigami, but as for Yorihisa, there were a lot of leaves in his space, so I sketched his pose before looking through a few panels for his hairstyle and clothing. o(≧ε≦o) You could say this is my favorite character ranking? I like Yasuaki a lot, but Yorihisa and Shikigami are both in 2nd place. Shikigami only appeared in volume 17, but I really like his design and personality! And the fact that he can turn into a white fox is a plus too! (*´▽｀*)
I really like how the mangaka draws eyes and hair in this series, so I’m studying them by redrawing the characters in my planner. I hope I can finish all seven soon so I can scan it properly! But for now, this will have to do! ヾ(｡･ω･｡)

I wanted to try coloring with Manga Studio 5 and this is what I came up with. Do you recognize her? She’s A.B. Castueras, the author of My Facebook Boyfriend for Real and the Manager of Red Dragons! ♪ヽ( ⌒o⌒)人(⌒-⌒ )v ♪
…I experimented on her anime portrait. Oh dear… that doesn’t sound very nice, hehe! But hopefully she likes it! ヽ(*・ω・)ﾉ
Crispy Chip asked: Is copying or tracing a good way to master drawing?
My answer: Well, there’s a big difference between copying and tracing.
For this doodle, I copied Enjelia’s fan art of Kirito from Sword Art Online. Yes, I actually do this when I need to de-stress over life and don’t have the creative juices to draw my own illustrations… but I digress!
When you copy a drawing, you draw it from scratch, imitating what you see. When you trace a drawing, however, you copy the original by tracing on a transparent paper (or “layer” in a drawing software) placed over the illustration. You’d get instant gratification through tracing, but copying will allow you to actually learn how to draw.
Nevertheless, copying someone else’s work does not make it your own. It’s only good for practice and for sharpening your drawing skills, but if you do decide to upload your work to websites like Deviant Art and Facebook, it would be wise to share your references and/or sources so that you won’t be accused of plagiarism. Besides, giving credit where credit is due will make both your fans and the original artist very happy. It’s just good netiquette!

What the heck am I doing starting another webcomic, you ask? щ(ಥДಥщ)
Well, don’t kill me yet! (／。＼) I decided to try out for a manga artist position. As much as I love to draw webcomics for free, money simple does not grow on trees anymore. ヽ(￣д￣;)ノ And it would be really nice to work on comics for a living again, no matter how much it really kills my social life!

Suoh requested to see my other attempts at drawing Yuuki’s original character, Sakura, since I’d mentioned the final illustrated was already the 4th attempt.
After I went through my PSD files, however, I realized that I stand corrected:
There were five other attempts making the final one my sixth instead of my fourth! (º_º) How could I have failed myself 5 times and not even remember it?! (＊0＊;)
Oh well, I guess I could just tell you guys more about them since I would probably never finish these…

This would be the first (and possibly last? ﾍ(;´Д｀ﾍ)) collaboration with my classmate and fellow Anime Illusions member, Mogz. It was funny because neither of us had tablets then so this was drawn with the mouse! (*･∀･)／＼(･∀･*)
I was trying to copy his icon, Melissa, and he drew Lezarius. They’re characters from his story, “Seraphim Wing” which he was able to publish long before we graduated from college! ━Σ(ﾟДﾟ|||)━
I really wonder how this tale ended. Maybe I can bug him to make a webcomic someday~ (｡･｀ω´･｡)
I feel a bit better...
