I'm so happy I somehow managed to finish this for stream! To be honest, I wasn't even planning on turning it into a video, but I thought this would be the best way to present my Comfysona.

...maybe I can do a short animation next time. Probably not, but it's nice to think about if I manage to pull it off. (^^*)

I hope I can do more artworks featuring Kuro's Comfytown look. I really love the Legatus uniform, but I also want her to wear something original. Well, if I manage to get more time to draw, I'll be happy all the same. (´ ∀ ` *)

...wow, I guess I fell into vtuber hell last year. I honestly didn't think it was that bad? But uhm, welp? One look at my art summary and it's pretty obvious how bad it actually is.

Either way, this has been one hell of a growth. I've begun drawing my own backgrounds again, and I'm paying attention to the overall mood of each piece. I still have a long way to go, but I'm sincerely happy with how much I've improved.

I hope 2023 will be even better. Thanks, Mister Ovid.

I haven't done animation since collage... Honestly, I don't this this even counts as proper animation since it's only a few frames, and I used the glitch effect from a video editor. (^^;)

Anyway, in case you don't hear from me for a while, that probably means I got yeeted by Mr. Borgman. Let's hope he doesn't see it. (>w<*)

Fulgur Ovid's Comfy Sheep Pile

2 and half months of working on this chibi sheep pile and I'm finally done!! ｡:ﾟ(;´∩`;)ﾟ:｡

This was supposed to be a small project. I wanted to draw 1 chibi per day for the month of August, but the pile went from 30 characters to 55.5?! Which is pretty cool when you arrange it as 50(5)(0.5).

Comfydants are too freakin' sweet though? I didn't think the sheepies would like this enough to ask if they could print it. (´;ω ;｀) I tried to upload the hi-res file on Twitter, but apparently there's a limit? So I uploaded it in my Ko-fi account for free.

Not gonna lie, comfys telling me they feel the love from my work is making my heart so full that I cry IRL. For real. (╥﹏╥) This community Fuu-san created is amazing. I hope I can stay here forever.

Draw Your Friends' OCs in Your Style

This was a lot more challenging than I thought it would be. I thought it would take me a day or two at most, but it took 4 days..! I think I may have had too much fun drawing them all, and I'm glad it turned out pretty well.

Here's hoping the people who actually own these characters will love them too. (>< *)

OC Creator Meme

So there's this thing circulating in Facebook: An OC Creator wherein the character's appearance, name, and even their personality is decided by the people who comment on your post.

I decided to give it a go, and somehow, I feel like I was trolled..? (´ー`) Oh well, I did my best to depict red skin and strawberry hair, and it turned out surprisingly well? No so sure about drawing him naked, but I'll cross the bridge when I get there.

In any case, this character's description is not completed yet, so he has no name. If you'd like to participate, head on over to my Facebook post and comment away!

Raffle Prize: Shingeki no Kyojin for Marielle

*silently screaming* You guys, I had no idea it was possible to make digital art look like this! I'm so in love with Manga Studio's chalk and pastel brushes right now! This piece looks as if it was drawn with pencils and colored with pastels on actual paper!!

I may have just found the solution to my "overly digital" and "cold" art works! You have no idea how happy I am right now!!! ♡~(>w<;;*)

I hope Marielle will like her prize! I should probably get some sleep, but I'm hoping this will get good feedback because I'm going to be using this technique a lot from now on~

Gijinka #4: McDonald's "Ron"

I think Ron might just be my best gijinka yet. This came out better that I thought it could, even though I had to stop myself from continuously adjusting all the small things..!

You might notice that this one is slightly more than a half body portrait, because I wanted to show off his tummy (or lack thereof) a tiny bit... mm-hm~ I'm lovin' it~ (*q*;;')

Some facts about Ron:

• also named "Ronald" but prefers to be called "Ron"
• can eat all the burgers and fries he wants but never gains a pound
• actually enjoys running a lot, which accounts for his strong metabolism
• doesn't like his unruly hair, thus keeping it long enough to be tied into a half pony
• wishes Kei would lighten up
• thinks Joey is like an annoying little brother who won't stop following him
• sometimes looks up to said annoying little brother

I was thinking about keeping his shirt white with red stripes like in my original design, but when I accidentally inverted the color of the white layer, I realized how good black looks when compared to white. It made the white version look like pajamas worn under an inexpensive suit!

Do you prefer the older version or this one? (^^*)

Gijinka #3: Kentucky Fried Chicken "Kei"

I gave Kei a bit of an update from his original design. He looks bored with my shenanigans though, and I feel a little, teeny bit sorry for him! But he seems to have a lot of fans, so I thought I should draw him again while I think of designs for the other cafes!

Here are some facts about Kei:

• snobby, but responsible rich kid
• idolized his great-grandfather, Colonel Sanders
• really hates socializing, despite his popularity
• is so, completely, done with Ron and Joey's rivalry
• makes the weirdest chicken menus on the planet
• does not care if you think cheese-top burgers and chicken sisig are weird
• actually, he doesn't care what you think, period

Gijinka #2: Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf "Teal"

Ok, this is getting addicting, haha! And since I'm drawing on a small canvas, it's very easy to finish!

For Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, I named him Teal!

• the creator of the original ice blended coffee
• has to wear a sweater because of all the ice blended drinks he consumes
• super friendly towards his customers
• doesn't judge you if you order non-coffee drinks in his cafe
• gives the best hugs
• loves the color purple
• has simplified membership cards and offers free wifi
• calls Starbucks "Hoshi-senpai"
• tries his best to keep Hoshi from going into berserker mode

I may be slightly biased since CBTL is my favorite coffee shop. Also, I really love the color purple, so it's hard for me not to love Teal~!

I wonder who I should draw next?

Gijinka #1: Starbucks "Hoshi"

It seems people are really getting into making gijinka (personification) of restaurants, cafes, and even drugstores lately. I thought I might as well give it a try while I still have a bit of time in my hands~ I also needed an excuse to draw more bishounen in suits so there..!

Meet Hoshi, my version of Starbucks!

• his name means "star" in Japanese
• pronounced slightly differently, his name sounds like the term for "want" in Japanese
• always up to date with what the kids are into despite his age
• people think he has trendy white hair, but actually, he's so stressed out because his customers always asking for bizarre, personalized drinks
• very good at memorizing those bizarre, personalized drinks
• quietly spites you by spelling your name wrong
• always smiling despite feeling the absolute need to throw your coffee to your face

I was a bit torn with his hair color... The wavy patterns on the logo can be interpreted as either green or white hair, but I wanted him to look trendy, so I gave him white hair.

After drawing this, however, I realized he kinda looks like Shinomiya Natsuki from Uta no Prince-sama, AHAHA!

Anyway, are gijinka supposed to be original characters, or fan arts? Or both? Hm...

Meme: 5 Day Art Challenge (Day 4)

Most of you are probably aware of my near-obsession over wings with my recent artworks of Rei Kuassary: Wings and Belated Happy Hearts… I was going to add them for Day 4 too, but I suppose I should feature something a little older (aka: stuff that hasn’t been uploaded on my FB page yet).

Reunion is my first commission on Deviant Art. My commissioner pretty much let me do whatever I wanted with her characters, Adiv and Altair. Despite being battle worn, they still have amazing hair, haha!

Ryo is Eclipse’s character. She won my 25k kiriban on Deviant Art, and she asked me to draw her character, who also has wings! I need to re-draw that cake though, it looks so weird.

Knite is a webcomic by Yuumei and Lee Mei Hua is my character entry for her contest some time ago. I didn’t win, but she was a lot of fun to draw, and I managed to think of a background story for her too! Those aren’t her wings, by the way, they’re the wings on her kite, but I thought the illusion looked great.

Last day of the meme tomorrow! I hope I don’t forget! Woot!

When I was stressed out over family matters a few weeks ago, I found out about this contest about two perverted brothers. I wasn't sure if I could even finish this because of that super detailed shirt... but drawing the pattern calmed me down when I was ready about ready to give up on... well, everything.

Now it's finally finished. I don't want to draw patterns manually ever again, hahaha!

I wanted to do this meme every year, and at the same time, I also wanted to make a new Facebook banner for my artist’s page. I somehow came up with this design, but I’m pretty sure I saw it somewhere before…

Anyway, from the look of things, some months were more productive than others. Some were also so busy with manga work that I was not able to color any illustrations at all! Which is a good thing in my book! I really hope I will have even more manga projects in 2014! Not so much that I won’t be sleeping anymore, but at least enough to make me want to do this full time!

Wow, is pixiv ever huge and highly annoying! I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but my submission there is pixelated! I tried resubmitting the artwork, but it still comes out the same. Manga Sample: Kai and Sephie

Before anything else in my manga collection, there was Kai and Sephie. (* >ω<)♥

Since my first application fell through, I decided to try again. This client wanted something shoujo and my current style may be too shounen-ish for all that rabu-rabu, so they asked me for a new sample. ～(^з^)-☆

I remembered writing a love story about these two… nothing complicated, really, it was all straight forward, and this seemed like the best scene for a sample. It turned out ok, so I thought I’d post it here. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ～♥

WIP: Get Back to Work!!!

Since I am seeing a lot of money spending in my near future, I’ve been working on a bunch of commissions as well as taking some additional hours in work to get to my financial goal. (* >ω<) I’m extremely happy I got to draw Rurik Demyan again…

…but he doesn’t look very happy to see me. (,,#ﾟДﾟ)

Kidding aside, however, overworking also means my health has been not been at its best. I think I may have sore throat thanks to the smokers outside CBTL. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ I’ll talk about that tomorrow though… that deserves a special post! ψ(｀∇´)ψ

Art Trade with yuukihanabusa

It would appear that my coffee was not decaffeinated last night. (¬▂¬) I’ve barely slept, and since I can’t seem to fall asleep at all, I’ve decided to finish this art trade of Yuuki’s character, Alex Fiore. (*´・ｖ・)

Still used the same watercolor texture as before. (´-ω-｀) That neko wasn’t really supposed to be there, but I wanted Alex to wake up to something adorable. ☆ﾐ(o*･ω･)ﾉ It would have been boring otherwise if it was just a bishie in bed… right?
