Not much happening in this page, I guess... but I needed this for pacing purposes. I'm glad Alban has his reference sheet available. It helped a lot when I was drawing in the details... Please LAM-mama, we need Fuu-san's reference sheet too!

I haven't been drawing manga pages for a long time. This is so satisfying! I'm thinking if I should continue this all the way until the actual death scene or if I should just leave it at that.

Fuu-san and Albanyan have very complicated character designs, so drawing them in manga is quite difficult. Well, if I get more time to draw, I probably won't mind continuing the angst. (｡ŏ﹏ŏ)

Now to find some Ceasar Salad.

Not much going on for this page... but it's a precursor for what's about to happen next. I'm getting really nervous about illustrating the next page, but I'll still keep doing my best!!

I really do miss drawing manga pages... despite how stressful it is to think about how to make the scenes work, I find it rather enjoyable.

Waaaahh~ Here we go! This new installment is not from the original script, but I wanted to draw more pages of bishounen Artemio and Prince Lumawig, so let's keep going!! (*≧▽≦)

The taller wolf is actually Azel, who already made his appearance in page 4. I think I may have made a mistake in making him taller than Rafael, but I wanted him to have a strong appearance. Removing his lab coat was definitely a good idea though. （´∀｀）

Anyway, this is really just more eyecandy for me, so I apologize in advance. (^^ゞ

"Kidlat ng Amang Langit" roughly translates to "Lightning of the Heavenly Father". It sounds cooler in Tagalog, so I decided to leave it at that. (´･ω･`)

So this is where the original script ended. I could finish this up with one more page, but I've decided to stretch it out a bit more. I'm beginning to have fun with drawing manga again, so I'm going to take advantage of that enthusiasm as much as I can. (≧▽≦) Hope you guys are enjoying the ride so far!

There is a white fox (PomPom), a red fox (Artemio), and a bunch of black wolves. I've temporarily named it "Red and White Foxes" on my Manga page, but if anyone has any better ideas, please help me?

And yes, that would be the same scientist who was begging for his life earlier. Ehehe~

I found this old WIP in my hard drive and thought about finishing the series... Not that this is actually anything serious, but it's pretty fun to do! And with everything that's been going on lately, I need a bit of fun back into my life.

The Art of Pom: Webtoon 04

It's been a super busy week... add to that a stupid wisdom tooth that's decided to stay laying down at the back of my lower right jaw, and you got yourself a very, very irritated manga artist. (｡>﹏<｡)ﾉﾞ

On the bright side, that last panel turned out ok thanks to my mood. I've forgotten how fun shonen-style manga could be... not that I'd consider this series shonen, since it's still pretty shoujo-ish, but I'm rambling, so!

Azel here is the black wolf found in page 2, at the last panel's lower right corner. I had previously colored all background wolves with blue hues to focus on the guy with the glasses and Artemio, but since Azel has decided to take action, I used his "true" colors. It's a bit of a risk to go from all pastel to richer hues, but I wanted to emphasize that last panel.

Hope you guys are still enjoying these so far! Time for me to try and get some proper sleep! ( *д*)

The Art of Pom: Webtoon 03

I actually finished this last night/early this morning. But I was so sleepy that I wanted to have a second look at it before I posted it. In the end, I'm so ridiculously happy with how Artemio looks in the 2nd panel~ He looks like a strong man from the village protecting his little girl~! (♥ω♥ ) ~♪

A little description of Artemio's attire:

The Barong Tagalog, more commonly known as simply Barong (and occasionally called Baro), is an embroidered formal shirt which is considered the national dress of the Philippines. It is lightweight and worn untucked over an undershirt.

The sheer fabric of the barong is surprisingly durable. Artemio's barong is longer than usual though, and I added a belt to it, just because I wanted to stylize it.

The next page will challenge all my shonen knowledge. I haven't drawn action scenes in a while, let's hope I can pull it off. σ(≧ε≦ｏ)

Hm... honestly speaking, I'm not entirely sure where all this is going..! (」°ロ°)」 Who's driving this train wreck?! Nobody knows!!! щ(ಥдಥщ)

That being said, I need to think about what to do with the next page, so that update will probably take a while? It was fun to paint all that blood though... Artemio's blood stained barong turned out really well!

This side of Artemio... (;*△*;) I've explored it several times in the past, and yes, he really can be that violent if the need arises. Aside from protecting Lumawig, anything that involves cruelty against women and children will literally make him snap!

The Art of Pom: Webtoon(?)

Ok, don't panic! o(^∀^*)o I'm not starting another webcomic! I just needed a palette cleanser from my recent failure, so I tried making more from this series- which really needs a better title!

A bit of a spoiler for those who read Celestia: Artemio is a demigod, meaning his father is an engkanto or "god" while his mother is human. Technically, he should be a prince, being his father's first born son, but since he's not of pure blood, he's considered "unclean". The human world would not accept him either because he didn't know how to hide his ears and tail when he was a child. Prince Lumawig took pity on him and allowed Artemio to live in his palace. When he came of age, Artemio became Prince Lumawig's servant and protector.

As for PomPom... ( ≧Д≦) YumYum made this really horrible back story for her, which is what inspired this webtoon! Please note that this is mostly eye candy for me, and not an official timeline for either of our series.

This page took me 3 days to finish... I don't know how webtoon artists manage to release their episodes on a weekly basis! They must be a different species altogether!

I forgot it was Thursday!!! I’m so busy running after my deadlines that I really thought today was Thursday! (o;TдT)o

This is the second to the last page before I take a little break from Crystal Shadows. I have a lot of work that needs to be finished before I can focus on CS again, but don’t worry! The script is all written out for the next chapter, so hopefully, we can get things ready by the next Komikon! Please look forward to it! o(≧∇≦o)

I’m now beginning to wonder if it’s possible for someone so tsun-tsun to become the complete opposite in just a few years. Then again, Erin has a pretty good reason… I think? (￣□￣;)!!

I’m actually similar to Erin when it comes to writing… I write in print too but that’s only because writing in script makes me so obsessive-compulsive about the curves and spaces that it takes me forever to write a sentence. Finally, we have electricity! _:(´□`」 ∠):_ I thought I wasn’t going to be able to update Crystal Shadows again because of the weather!

You guys may have heard about Typhoon Glenda hitting Philippines pretty hard, and I have to say, we’re pretty lucky that the strong winds were not accompanied by heavy rain! I watched the storm on the morning it came here… the wind was exceptionally strong, I’ve never seen anything quite like it! I honestly thought it was going to turn in tornado right in the middle of the city! A lot of corrugated sheets were flying around too, but thankfully, we’re ok. ヾ(*д*)ﾉ

Anyway, on to this update! This marks the end of 4th Leaf, but I’ll be posting some flashback pages next Thursday. They were suppose to occur before the 4th chapter, but I kinda messed up the time line and posted these pages first! (╬ Ò ‸ Ó) Hopefully, everything will still make sense in the end!

This random-extra-character certainly said a mouthful! o(-`д´- ｡) He actually has a name in the script I sent to Misaki-taichou, but that was more of a place holder since the name was pretty much as annoying as this character, haha!

In other news, I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew. Σ（ﾟдﾟlll）Maybe I should get another assistant. Hm…
