Draw This Again: Mango Jam 13 Years After

I've been seeing a lot of people drawing their illustrations from 10-something years ago, and I thought it would be fun to try it myself.

Mango Jam: Twilight's Calling is my first published manga, and issue #7 was my debut cover for the magazine. There were a lot of revisions for this piece, but the end result was worth it~

Looking at my artwork back then is making me cringe a bit. (´-ω-`) I had to adjust my style to look similar to the previous artist's work, and I learned a lot in the process.

By the way, please ignore the logo on the new one, haha! I just traced that and used an existing font that I have on my PC. It's not meant as an improvement on the logo or whatnot, more like a... placeholder? （*´▽`*)

Do you think this is considered an improvement? Or do you prefer my old style?

CrossOver: Anko-chan and Izuminokami Kanesada

This has been a work in progress for nearly a year..? (ﾉ≧3≦)ﾉ I'm glad I finally finished it~ That is Izuminokami Kanesada from Touken Ranbu and he's carrying Rin-chan's daughter, Anko-chan. (´∇｀) This was supposed to be for Rin-chan's birthday, but lots of stuff happened and I had to put it in the back burner for a while.

My eyes are almost back to normal~ Hopefully this will also mean that I can work on my webtoons again very soon. I'll probably finish up Apteral first then return to Crystal Shadows. (´ε｀ )♡

Gift: the Humans of KARMA by Honey Den

So far, there are only 2 humans that appeared in KARMA. But if you include Apteral, that makes it three humans... doesn't it? (◯Δ◯∥)

In any case, I really love Jeremy~ He actually reminds me of Hayato here, Ichinose Tokiya's alter-ego in Uta no Prince-sama~ Maybe I will use Hayato's color scheme on this when I get the chance.

And then there's sweet, adorable Aly. She doesn't know it yet, but those "powers" of hers will come into good use one day. (^^*)

I wonder if we should reprint this... (ﾟωﾟ;) The adult coloring book fad has already come and gone, but this could actually be considered as an art book by itself.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Kurama Kitsune

Weeks of rest and recovery later, I'm finally able to sit down and draw something again~ (´∇｀) I can't draw as much as I did during the contest, but at least I got to sketch Kurama for a bit.

A new OVA is coming out, and I am excited to see Maya Kitajima in the film~ She only ever appeared in the manga and in the special Yu Yu Hakusho cinematic books, but there was a lot of controversy surrounding her character. (๑•́ ₃ •̀๑)

You see (SPOILER ALERT), Maya is Shuichi's classmate in junior high school. She had the ability to see yokai, and thought that Shuichi was the same, not knowing that Shuichi was actually part yokai himself. When Maya was kidnapped by a yokai that Hiei was following, Shuichi and Hiei run off to rescue her. They killed the yokai and Shuichi then decided to erase Maya's memories, including her love for him, in order to keep her safe.

And where is the controversy, you might ask? (・о・)

Fans have speculated that Shuichi did not really erase Maya's memories in order to protect her. Many think that he did so because Shuichi is into Hiei..! ((((；ﾟДﾟ)))) But Shuichi had only just met Hiei that night, so I don't know if that's true..?
